Advance Capacitors & EMI filters

History

Advance was started in 1979 by our founder, late Mr N K Joshi in technical collaboration with M/s Gould Advance Ltd. of U.K. (later Ashcroft) to manufacture plastic film capacitors.

Advance is also successfully manufacturing the PPS film capacitor as equivalent to Polycarbonate film capacitor

Advance also started producing RFI/EMI filters in 1989 to meet the needs of our customers and has successfully supplied some of our key clients in the electronics equipment and defense industries, receiving several “Best Vendor” awards along the way.

Advance is an active member of a number of different industry associations and continues to lead the way in the design and development of a range of innovative capacitors and filters to meet the needs of our customers.

Our Company

Since 1979 we are successfully operating in the electronic manufacturing industry. Advance has built and maintained relationships with more than 800 customers across a wide breadth of industries including telecommunication, power electronics, automotive and defense.

Sudhakar Joshi is based in Mysore. He is one of the leading authorities in India on Plastic Film Capacitors and suppression of EMI and RFI. He is a BE Electrical Engineering from VJT Institute Bombay and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University CA, USA.

He worked with Texas Instruments Inc., Dallas, Texas from 1966 to 1978 in the Design Automation Dept as a of Manager Logic and Functional Simulation Systems Group. He was involved in software development for the design of computers, ICS and early Microprocessors. He is also one of the promoters and has been a Technical Director Advance Components since 1978.
